Stanislas Cornier

Gold, silver and copper leaf, like veils, like skins, cover every object designed by Stanislas Cornier, from the most rudimentary to the most baroque. They extinguish his sorrow, while embellishing it a little, and add sparkle to his disillusioned sense of humor. 
There is no hierarchy between "containers" and art objects. All are declared to be functional, though none are really so, and their purpose lies elsewhere. If they naturally embody a form of social criticism aimed at condemning superficiality and consumerism, their Memory forms Above all, they convey the idea of the ceremonial that punctuates everyone's daily life (...). Born in 1988, lives and works in Suresnes.

TRAINING

2022: Ceramics trainee with Laure Sulger and Anne Deberly, Paris. 2005: Regional silver medal at the One of France's best apprentices.
2003 - 2005: Valedictorian of CAP (vocational training certificate) in saddlery and lining.
