Patrick Loughran
A ceramist originally from Detroit (USA), Patrick Loughran holds degrees in Political Science and Fine Arts from Columbia University, New York City.
He has taught ceramics at art schools in New York, Chicago and New Mexico.
In 1991 he moved to Paris. He has taught at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art (ENSA) in Limoges and at several municipal art schools.
He exhibits sculptures and drawings in France and abroad: L'Expérience de la couleur, Sèvres, Cité de la céramique, Spielraum 122, Arizona State University Art Museum, Tempe AZ, USA; 19th Biennale Internationale de la Céramique de Châteauroux; Biennale Internationale de Céramique de Vallauris (Prix de la Ville de Vallauris 2016); Prix David Miller (Bandol 2013) ; Saarländisches Künstlerhaus, (Saarbrücken, Germany); Espace Gainville (Aulnay-sous-bois); Fondation Bernardaud (Limoges) and Mona Bismarck Foundation (Paris); Maison d'art contemporain Chaillioux (Fresnes); Espace d'art contemporain Camille Lambert (Juvisy-sur-Orge); Fule International Ceramic Museums (Fuping, China).
