Réjean Peytavin
Winner of the Prix du Jury 2023, Réjean Peytavin is like a surveyor whose curiosity and rigor never dry up. Creating a form is not enough for him. Form only acquires meaning if it manages to link upstream and downstream with other gestures, techniques and cultures. We're not talking here so much about the work as about processes or protocols in which influences and uses, however disparate, are approached on an equal footing. Traduslation (compression de traduction / translation) is the result of the discovery of the Moroccan archaeological site of Volubilis, in 2021.
