Junliang Ma
Junliang Ma never stopped asking himself what kind of ceramist he wanted to be. Well-versed in the technical demands of the craft, he aspired to produce something other than the "perfect". It took a great deal of courage and stubbornness for him to dare transgress the ancestral rules he had learned, and to dare to commit the terrible act of tearing the just-turned clay ring in two. From this powerful and liberating gesture, which occurred shortly before his arrival in France in 2022, the Mémoire series was born.
Born in 1986. Lives and works in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin)
