In Anne-France Frère's work, enamelled color - which here plays the role of make-up - is not enough to disguise the deep-seated concerns that inform her work. Her works, which are generally ecological in tone, bear witness to two major obsessions: one concerns the climate and the shortage or overabundance of water (in memory of the traumatic floods that have occurred in recent years in the Draguignan region); the other, entitled "Architectures inutiles", deals with the gratuitous concreteization of natural spaces (...)
