Who is C14 PARIS for?

C14 PARIS is for authors of sculptural pieces (from volume to installation). Utilitarian pieces (vases, pots, crockery, accessories, furniture) are excluded from this show.
Exhibitors are selected on the basis of applications submitted online via the registration interface on the Show website: www.c14paris.com  Applicant Page" tab Application ".

Selection is made by members of the Selection panel made up of board members and active members of the C14 PARIS association.

Call for applications December 5, 2023 and closes February 19, 2024.

Price list

The show jury will award 3 prizes; once the show has opened, a second jury made up of members of the board, active members of the association and representatives of partner institutions, will award 3 prizes:

  • The "Prix Résidence" (encouragement of an approach), which offers the winner the opportunity to spend two months in one of our partner residencies (Centre Keramis La Louvière, Belgium; Fondation Bruckner in Carouge, Geneva...). Accommodation and production tools provided.
  • The "Prix Galerie" which offers the winner a one-month exhibition in a partner gallery in France or abroad. 
  • The "Prix du Jury" which rewards the favorite of the Show's organizers and the members of the awards jury. Winning this prize enables the winner to..:
    - to exhibit free of charge at the show the following year in a 30 m2 space (podium, 1st floor). 
    - a 1-page profile in an art magazine prior to the show.
    - receive a cash prize of 3,000 euros.

Obligations of the C14 PARIS association

C14 PARIS is an association under the French law of 1901. All active members are volunteers.
C14 PARIS undertakes to provide the exhibitor with a stand that complies with what has been advertised* (cf. stand description, article 4 of the regulations) and with the dates given (unless the show is cancelled beyond our control - cf. Art. 11 last paragraph of the regulations).
C14 PARIS undertakes to promote the Show to the best of its ability and within the limits of its financial resources:
- on its website and blog
- through newsletters
- on social networks (Facebook and Instagram)
- by enlisting the skills of a press attaché
- having a teaser video produced by professionals and put online at the start of the show
- having a professional photographer produce a photo report of the show
- by publishing a full-colour catalog reproducing a work by each exhibitor (3 copies of which will go to each exhibitor).
- by writing a text about each exhibitor. Each exhibitor will then be able to use this text and reproduce it at will, as long as they note its origin as follows: "First name and surname of author", Salon C14 PARIS, "year".

Exhibitor's obligationse, exhibitor

ART.1

Participation fees

The successful candidate must pay a total exhibition fee of €350.
Payment is possible:
- by bank transfer in 1 instalment (350 euros) or in 2 instalments (2 x 175 euros). On the 1stst payment is due in the week following the announcement of its selection. In the absence of payment within 7 days, the selection will be cancelled.
- by credit card via online payment. As soon as you are selected, we will send you a payment link. To cover the costs of the secure payment terminal (Stripe), the participation fee will be increased by €5 (i.e. €355).
This financial contribution helps to organize the event and produce the catalog.

ART.2

Selection of works

The works exhibited are the result of a consensual choice made by the Salon management and the artist during the selection jury. They must be recent and/or never exhibited.
If any of the works exhibited, not previously submitted to the Show management, are deemed to be contrary to the ethics of the Show, the management has the right to ask the exhibitor to remove them.

ART.3

Exclusive

The selected artist undertakes not to exhibit in a gallery in the Paris region the same or similar pieces, or pieces from the same series, during the 6 months preceding the C14-PARIS Salon and during the Salon.

Any artist who has already exhibited at Céramique 11, ArtCéram or Marché St Sulpice may not exhibit at C14 PARIS in the autumn of the same year. Should the Show management become aware of this, it will cancel the registration without the exhibitor being entitled to any reimbursement or compensation.

ART.4

Stand

Exhibitors are provided with a standard stand measuring H.250 x W.300 x D.100cm in 1.5cm-thick matt white plywood. 

The Four Seasons show offers slightly different configurations. Stands are allocated to candidates by active members of the association. At the end of March, exhibitors will be informed of the specific features of each stand.

Wall-mounted, floor-standing and pedestal-mounted pieces are all welcome. 

Exhibitors are responsible for the layout of their stand. The latter must be conceived as a real scenographic challenge. The project must be submitted to Show management in advance and discussed (April-June-July). Fabrics and curtains are to be avoided.

Stand lighting is provided. For fire safety reasons, no additional spotlights or electrical outlets are permitted. Any additional sockets (e.g. for video broadcasting) must be requested, and will be professionally installed by the town's technical teams.

Storage
NB: for fire safety reasons, it is forbidden to store cardboard boxes and other packaging behind stands or elsewhere on the exhibition site.

ART.5

Presence at the show

Exhibitors undertake to be present at their stand during the entire duration of the Show and during the stated opening hours.

In case of absence one-off and inescapablethey must notify a member of the office present.

ART.6

Transporting artwork

Exhibitors are solely responsible for transporting exhibits to and from the show, and for handling them.
We'll be linking up exhibitors from the same region to give everyone the chance to carpool.

ART.7

Housing

Accommodation in Paris is the responsibility of the exhibitor.-e.

ART.8

Insurance for exhibitors' works

The C14-PARIS association does not insure exhibitors or their works. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to take out individual civil liability insurance and to insure his or her works against breakage or theft.
Artists are solely responsible for the objects displayed or stored in their booths, as well as for any damage caused to third parties as a result of their installation.


ART.9

Reproduction rights

Each exhibitor agrees to assign his or her rights to the use of the visual for the catalog between the beginning of April and the end of November for the purposes of promoting the event (press and internet).
Each exhibitor undertakes to cede definitively his rights to the use of images made during the Show at the request of C14-PARIS to the delegated videographer and photographer.


ART.10

Sales

The room annexed to the Town Hall of the 14th arrondissement of Paris is not a shopping mall. C14-PARIS has no commercial purpose and does not intend to receive any commission on sales. The price list is indicative only, and visitors are encouraged to contact the exhibitor directly for any purchase requests.
The organizer cannot be held responsible for any disputes of any kind between buyers and exhibitors.


ART.11

Withdrawal of the candidate-e

If an exhibitor withdraws:
- before the end of May, only half his payment will be returned, i.e. €175
- After the end of May, the full amount will be retained by the association.
By signing the present regulations and the registration form, the exhibitor expressly agrees to comply with them and with any prefectural or municipal regulations concerning police and safety measures, without recourse of any kind whatsoever.

Any delay, change of date or early closure beyond the control of C14 PARIS will not entitle the client to any compensation.
Should C14 PARIS be obliged to cancel the Salon, all monies collected will be reimbursed immediately. No recourse on any grounds whatsoever against the organizers or the association C14-PARIS is admissible.

Who is the C14 PARIS inter-school competition for?
