The 2023 edition of C14 PARIS came to a close against the backdrop of the latest autumn heat wave. As always, the atmosphere during the four days spent together, exhibitors and organizers alike, was warm and friendly.
We were delighted by the growing participation of ceramists from further afield than France. Four hectic days that offered exhibitors the opportunity to meet their public and establish professional contacts with galleries, institutions and independent curators.
Attendance remained stable, despite the cultural competition in Paris at this time of year. Above all, this year the Salon succeeded in renewing the face of its public, attracting a number of enthusiasts who were discovering the Salon for the first time.
The event benefited from relatively good press coverage* and much-improved social networking**. The new format of the catalog also appealed to artists and partners***. Artists were unanimous in their praise for these welcome and communication efforts.
The idea of a thematic round-table discussion took shape. The subject of the steps and choices to be taken to professionalize ceramic artists was addressed through the testimonies of the four artist members of C14 PARIS and in dialogue with the audience. We'll be pursuing this principle next year, but at a time more compatible with our exhibitors' availability.
Once again, we would like to thank our 2023 partners for their warm collaboration: the City of Paris, the Mairie du 14ème arrond. de Paris, the Académie internationale de la Céramique, the Galerie Polaris in Paris and the Centre Keramis, La Louvière (B).
