Xavier Castro presents a selection from his *Abysses* series. It features a family of porcelain vases characterized by subtlety and spontaneity. His approach to form is unusual, as the artist creates his designs on a potter’s wheel, then casts them in plaster and reproduces them using slip casting. This is followed by a phase of experimentation that involves bringing forth what he calls «grafts.».
