Simone Machuel’s Master’s project (ENSAV La Cambre, 2025) involved drawing the audience into an offbeat fictional narrative centered on the idea of a garden party in a fantastical 1950s Hollywood. In it, she presented a series of amusing and subtle clichés. A second installment has since followed, in which nature—freed from human presence—reclaims its rights, but at the pace of a detached and unsettling artificiality.
