Akashi Murakami last participated in C14 in 2019. The artist has acquired great dexterity in the practice of molding. She draws her inspiration from natural elements (branches, fossilized wood), whose unexpected shapes, random lines and vibrant reliefs evoke "cliffs carved by the wind and the sea, rocks hollowed out by the current, stones pierced by drops, inhabited roots, which have been there for centuries, of distant formation in time and yet so concrete before us today".
